What You Want to KnowOur History We in west Oakland are a part of the larger ministry of World Impact, Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles. We were founded in 1971 by Keith Phillips and currently we operate in 10 cities and 4 camps throughout the United States. Our official missions statement is:
World Impact ministers cross-culturally to people unreached by the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, follow-up, discipleship and indigenous church-planting. World Impact empowers urban disciples; training leadership for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. But Who Really Are We?

World Impact is a Christian missions organization dedicated to ministering God's love in the inner cities of America. Its purpose is to honor and glorify God and delight in Him in the inner cities by knowing God and making Him known.
Well, since you asked here in west Oakland we are a small community committed to change. We believe that Jesus Christ can change a community and without him there is no hope. We are a bible believing group of missionaries who are committed to the cause of the resurrection. We believe that by simple methods of teaching, equipping, and empowering people you can give them a knowledge and a hope they never had before. Through our programs we attempt to find key individuals in the neighborhood and train them for leadership through our church and
