The Lord Provides 

West Oakland has a high rate of unemployment and poverty.  Nearly everyday the streets are full of dealers, peddlers, homeless, and people with no where else to go.  Where do you look for guidance if you grew up here?  How would a young person even know where to start looking for a job?  At the Lord Provides Resource Center we offer an array of support services for people in the community looking for help.  With help in Spanish and English, we can help people create a resume, get prepared for an interview with the proper skills and clothes, and send them on their way with continued support and career counseling.  We offer a unique one on one approach that makes everyone who comes in the center special and valued.

We are always looking for people to come and help us at The Lord Provides.  We would love an active Jesus-loving community member to come along and run the center for us!  If you're looking for some place to volunteer during the week, this is a great opportunity.  You can hang out at our sidewalk cafe with the locals or help create a resume.  We'd love to hear from you!
