Lewis grew up on the streets of Oakland and owe's his life to God.  After years of running the streets and succumbing to the pleasures of the world, Lewis found God and his people.  Now Lewis is a minister of Jesus and blessed with the gift of preaching and teaching, giving him the ability to help God's people comprehend their value and worth in the Kingdom of God.  At the age of 54, Lewis has had years of experience teaching God's people in Sunday School Classes, Sunday morning messages, Bible Studies, along with one on one consultations. 

During the week Lewis engages with the fine citizens of Lower Bottom in grueling chess matches, of which he usually wins.  Recently he's had a hard time getting people to return to take another beating.  When he's not schooling over the chess board he can be found helping out in the resource center, leading a tight Bible study somewhere in Oakland, or leading drug and alcohol addicts through 12 step meetings.  Lewis' own life has brought him enough experiences that he can relate to those he is ministering to. 

Lewis is married to his wife Toni and lives in Oakland.  On the weekend's he enjoys playing with fire and making Samurai movies.  On occasion he will throw a football.
